Palm is an 800 m shopping street with an arcade that is protected from all weather and also automatically opens and shuts!
Musashi Palm is not only has an old feel to it but it is also a new shopping street which makes you feel calm when shopping. You can enjoy shopping without any worries to get wet with rain in Palm as arcade is protected from all weather. There is everything from lots of new shops to old established stores in Palm.

The area of Musashi-koyama was that it was called "Ebara-gun, Musashino-kuni" in the olden times. It was a historical place as it was written in"Manyōsyu"

In the Edo period, Musashi-koyama was famous because of the nearby Shinagawa-juku which was the first hotel on Tokaido.

Although Musashi-koyama was hard hit by the bombing of Tokyo in 1944, Musashi-koyama shotengai cooperative association was established to revive Musashi-koyama after the bombing and take a first step towards restoring it.

In 1956, the first arcade was completed and everyone could enjoy shopping regardless of the weather, therefore many shoppers had come from far away to shop at the arcade.

During the high economical growth period in Japan, we felt we needed to create some additional value, that's why we started some new services such as the system of Koyama credit card and a grand parking service.

In Japanese "bubble economy" (in the late 1980 to early 1990s) famous for the second boom after the war, the problem was to lay in stock as cheap as possible conforming with the needs of the time. However the store management had to be changed to match the needs of changed customer after the bubble economy.

It was decided that Musashi-koyama shopping street was nicknamed "Palm" to give it a more friendly impression.
We then signed a friendship town agreement with Milano-city in Italy.

Nowadays, we aim for it to be an attractive town to combine the trend of modern times with our history.

The big feature of Musashi Palm is our various annual events.
We manage a lot of events such as Ryūhyō festival, Nōryō festival, Samba carnival, the new year's Wadaiko(Japanese drum) and the Point festival which is a festival dedicated to doing our best to make Palm as enjoyable as possible for you.

Tokyu line does the mutual direct operation service with the Nanboku-subway line, Saitama Railway direct to the Nanboku- subway line and Mita-subway line.
